In the beginning

I have looked for a place to record my thoughts. Perhaps paper and pencil are still best, but I am going to give this place a chance. Even if only for myself, I look forward to what will come of this venture.

My friend Casey has already begun this journey and I am following his lead. We are both reading through the Bible this year and I also will attempt to take a little time each day (or most days) to post some reflective comments as I travel along through the Scriptures. I will probably not seek to summarize, but rather to take one thing that caught my attention and give a short meditation upon it. My goal is not to recount what I have read but to make record of those things that God highlights in my spirit as I read. His word is living and powerful, sharper than any two edged sword and once delivered never returns void. So I expect as I seek Him, He will offer afresh His holy words and change my heart. Lord, open Your Scriptures to me and me to Your Scriptures.
